Dermatopathology Partners is a group of Board Certified Dermatopathologists with over 40 years of combined experience serving clinicians and their patients throughout the region. We are proud to be Fellows of the American Society of Dermatopathology and the College of American Pathologists. Our physicians are affiliated with the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine in Knoxville, Department of Pathology, and actively participate in pathology resident education and research.
Dermatopathology Consultations for Second Opinions
Consultations are generally reviewed by multiple dermatopathologists, offering prompt second opinions for difficult skin lesions.
Rapid turn around time, including same day service for rush cases
Courier services are available throughout our region. Our clients specific needs are important to us and our courteous office and courier staff will respond promptly to your needs. We will pick up specimens daily or on an as needed basis at a convenient time for your practice. Free overnight FedEx and UPS shipping is available for those clinicians outside of our region who wish to use our services.
Special stains such as AFB, Gram, PAS-F, GMS, for the diagnosis of infectious diseases, as well as other stains such as Alcian Blue, Iron, Melanin, etc.
A comprehensive panel of immunohistochemistry stains is performed and interpreted in-house to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of our patients.
Immunofluorescence Studies – Direct and Indirect
All of our dermatopathologists have extensive experience with interpretation of immunofluorescence studies for the diagnosis of immunobullous diseases and connective tissue disorders. We participate in Proficiency Testing through the American Society of Dermatopathology and Beutner Labs.

Online Report Access via the Client Portal
Reports are available to clients via our web-based Client Portal which can be accessed via any web browser, iPad, iPhone, or other smart phone device.

HL7 compliant interface services from our Laboratory Information System, PathCentral, to our clients’ electronic medical records.
